Lucie will be a junior at UCLA in the fall. Orignially from Minnesota, she now hails from southern California. A mild obsession with languages has led her to study Spanish, Arabic and Swedish, and may result in an Arabic language major. She can usually be found reading, dancing, playing soccer or frisbee, or sleeping.

procrastination station

Here I am, Sunday evening, and what I really don't want to do is homework. Therefore, here I am on Sunday evening, uploading more pictures. This is Mom, on her 50th birthday. We went to the SD Zoo, and then to the La Jolla cliffs.

This is a picture Tom took this summer at the La Jolla cliffs, at a parasailing and hang-gliding school. Dad and I are going to go parasailing on my 21st birthday.
This is also at the La Jolla cliffs, when Kyle, Mom and I went walking down on the edge. It was beautiful that day, as you can see.

stomach flu

These are before/after pictures from my haircut. As you can see, I took quite a bit off!

Last night was a long one--I spent most of it going between the bathroom and my bed with what turned out to be the stomach flu. Because of that, I'm here in my room instead of at work, and I decided to put up some more pictures for your enjoyment (and my own--it beats staying in bed!).

These two are from California this summer. It turns out I am very much smaller than a mountain gorilla.

to go on

Last spring, in the middle of trying to study for finals, Terry ,Christina, Cy and I escaped to the Arboretum for a study break. The Arb is a big area just behind my dorm that is home to valleys, forested areas, a small prairie, and part of the Huron River, and it's perfect for studying, picnics, taking pictures, and so on. We love it there! This is one of my favorite pictures, which Christina took that afternoon. (L-R: Cyrus, me, Terry)

halloween!

My roomate Lauren and I went to a service for the Feast of All Souls at Canterbury House (the church I go to here). We went in costume to a nearby cemetary, and played jazz and sang "Somebody's Buried in the Graveyard." It was a good time, especially afterwards, when we got hot cider and hot cocoa with vanilla in it. I was the White Witch from the Chronicles of Narnia, and Lauren was Robert Plant.
